Cheers filled the stadium as D. Garrido broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to pinha. With 37 minutes played, pinha put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to S. Lacoste Vignalet, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. At this point, it was obvious that the players of pinha lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in pinha's D. Püschel increasing the lead to 5 - 0. With 40 minutes played, F. Idiazábal of pinha fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. It was 5 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by pinha, with 85 percent of the ball.

Coming from the right, D. Garrido almost managed to score another goal for pinha, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Tsuverkalov got himself booked. The manager of Riot was not happy. D. Püschel could have increased the lead after 68 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. D. Püschel should probably have put his team up another goal after 79 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Lourenço kept the visitors in the game. pinha increased the lead as D. Garrido struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. pinha managed to extend their lead to 7 - 0 when J. Erendazu cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. pinha had most of the ball, with 89 percent of possession.

S. Lacoste Vignalet performed admirably for pinha. However, L. Peña Ruiz made a disastrous appearance. Riot's best player was P. Forsing. M. Olsson turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
