27000 spectators had come to Arena Belm this cloudy day. Heike Gouverne was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daniel Graevenitz and Klaas-Jan Cocu. Berning was shown a yellow card after 12 minutes for slicing down an opponent. R. Ziese of Superwixens had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. N. Dupuis came in to finish the match. After 18 minutes, Superwixens's G. Döbrösi burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. 21 minutes into the match, Superwixens's N. Dupuis demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to A. Osełka who chipped it in for 0 - 3. The Superwixens players could smell victory in the air. K. Bittersdorf wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Ifrach after 22 minutes. The home crowd cheered when, after 24 minutes, A. Osełka's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. With 28 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed G. Leichtenmüller of Superwixens to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. By now, the players in Superwixens felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Superwixens enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

A. Assif of Superwixens took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 50 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. J. Kapustka got a fingertip on M. Fevola's shot from the left 56 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. 59 minutes into the game, Superwixens seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T. Sevgen from SC Kosmos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A. Assif was, after 87 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper J. Kapustka made the save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Superwixens, with 64 percent of the ball.

The most dominating SC Kosmos player was without a doubt E. Micale. However, D. Fürfelder made a disastrous appearance. Superwixens's top performer was clearly A. Osełka. M. Fevola was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
