Wysoka made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left S. Delaunois completely alone with keeper M. El Ghorayeb, who made a spectacular block. Wysoka took the lead 26 minutes in, as P. Dovesi broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Mroczeń, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. A counterattack by Wysoka after 34 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but S. Topolski, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. 38 minutes in, Wysoka appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. A. Balthazar's lack of experience almost gave Wysoka a goal after 39 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. Wysoka's F. Tallo was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 42 minutes. After 43 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by C. Vigyikán. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Wysoka enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The Wysoka players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. 49 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Wysoka substitution. Mroczeń claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Wysoka had solid organisation. After 102 minutes, L. Rouxel came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Wysoka the lead. This put an end to extra time, making Wysoka the winners. Wysoka's best player was S. Delaunois. On the other hand, S. Hlushaczenka's play was disheartening. Most important Mroczeń player was A. Maino. S. Zwolsman turned in a dismal performance, however.
