P. Sperandio came close to putting the visiting team one up 15 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but D. Stavanja managed to tip the ball to a corner. inter88's M. Gloria had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 16 minutes having been played. A. Livoti was the replacement. They were singing the praises of A. Atanasov 18 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to shardanas. After 22 minutes, K. Burkot sprinted between the opposing defenders and squared the ball, but the keeper deflected G. Simonin's shot. After 28 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by S. Carcano. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of inter88's A. Livoti after 31 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by inter88, with 52 percent of the ball.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, shardanas's O. Dankwart was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. P. Mordegan was given a chance to change things around. The head of P. Sperandio connected with a corner kick after 49 minutes, and the ball ended up with C. That made the score 1 - 4. shardanas didn't give in and with 65 minutes played P. Mordegan was able to make the score 2 - 4 after an attack on the right. K. Burkot of inter88 took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 71 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 2 - 5. shardanas's A. Pelitli left the field after 76 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was V. Jevrić. After 81 minutes, shardanas switched A. Ivens with R. Di Lonardo, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The shardanas captaincy was handed to D. Pizarro. shardanas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
