(393025337)

11-07-2012 02.00
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
FCMins Arena saw a crowd turnout of 12000.
Brian Clifford was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Horst Gonda and
Finn Solgaard.
FCMins started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Ahn - Kim, Jang, Cho, Han - Ryu, Baek, Moon, Kang - Kwon, Kim.
GONJIAM tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Báez - Flaugnacco, Mastrosimone, Pérez - Kang, Song, Choi, Park, Jung - Kim, Maeng.
GONJIAM took the lead 3 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
J. Maeng was the scorer.
After 6 minutes of game time,
S. Park had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
H. Ahn was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
FCMins had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 7 minutes, but
J. Jang's shot from the left sailed high over the bar.
The GONJIAM free kick 13 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
S. Park, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 2!
After 14 minutes, GONJIAM's
Y. Choi burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3.
After 24 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
B. Song who increased GONJIAM's lead to 0 - 4.
With 25 minutes played,
B. Song of GONJIAM fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
H. Cho's lack of experience almost gave GONJIAM a goal after 26 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Han from FCMins a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 28 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
0 - 4 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by GONJIAM, with 65 percent of the ball.
FCMins's
J. Baek was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
A drive down the left side allowed
H. Kim to get in close and score another goal for GONJIAM after 67 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5.
After this, you could see that the players of GONJIAM were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The corner kick from
M. Kim was powerfully met by the head of
J. Jang to make the score 1 - 5.
After 75 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
M. Jung to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 6.
G. Flaugnacco received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 80 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 7. The GONJIAM fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Possession in this half belonged to GONJIAM, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.
C. Kang performed admirably for FCMins.
J. Han was a disappointment, however.
Most important GONJIAM player was
G. Flaugnacco.
D. Kang turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 7.
