It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 46784 that came out to Franz Beckenbauer Dome. Muselet swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. S. Bartocci was called on to replace Cottesloe's M. Warrington after 39 minutes following a nasty collision. Cottesloe increased the lead as D. Capuzzo struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Cottesloe, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

After 48 minutes, A. Saka sent the corner kick right to M. Frankowski who headed it sharply past the keeper. 3 - 1! F. Rajski could've grabbed a goal for Remnant 58 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Ater 62 minutes D. Stankovic seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Remnant making it 3 - 2. D. Capuzzo could have put Cottesloe up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 68 minutes. With 71 minutes played, Cottesloe put themselves up 4 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to L. McCabe, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Cottesloe's S. Bartocci was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 77 minutes. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Cottesloe's S. Bartocci increasing the lead to 5 - 2. Cottesloe had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Cottesloe's best player was H. Bruyn. F. Nardella turned in a dismal performance, however. M. Ristić performed admirably for Remnant. J. Hagen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 2.
