(393037380)

11-07-2012 12.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 20000 to
johannesbrujo.
Tim Gonschorek was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Theodor Plhák and
Heiko Coelingh.
Maccabi decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Grycan - Forese, Radeisen, Martins - Francuzovas, Donie, Temkin, Seiler-Thon, Denneulin - Fernán Jiménez, Comello.
Mazaricos started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Inchurandieta - Franch, Barberán, Cons - Argenta, Ximénez de Rada, Picart, Mendoza, Cruz - Márquez, Vielva.
24 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Maccabi was
A. Temkin.
30 minutes into the game Mazaricos's
D. Márquez found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
X. Cons from Mazaricos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 31 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After 32 minutes, Mazaricos's
M. Vielva made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2.
Maccabi enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
Maccabi's
M. Francuzovas made an attempt at equalising 51 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound.
The crowd roared in delight as
M. Francuzovas finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Maccabi 68 minutes into the match. 2 - 2.
M. Vielva made a quick rush after 72 minutes, but
B. Radeisen had no problems keeping up the pace and stopped the attack.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 80 minute mark, Maccabi's
P. Fernán Jiménez hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Maccabi had a good opportunity to take the lead as
D. Denneulin came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
J. Inchurandieta.
A swift counterattack by Mazaricos resulted in a free kick that
D. Picart elegantly twisted into the goal - 2 - 3!
With the scoreboard showing that 83 minutes had been played, Mazaricos nearly put themselves up another goal after
D. Márquez came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.
Possession in this half belonged to Maccabi, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Maccabi's best player was
A. Forese.
D. Grycan was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Mazaricos player was without a doubt
D. Márquez.
D. Argenta on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 3.
