Střítež 3 - 1 Koláčkov (393042873)

The 51599 spectators at Buldogs Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Joaquín Haro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Adie MacCalman and Benoit Miller. Střítež decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Starters: Štverka - Vachoušek, Pavliska, Pulis - Halse, Vidaković, Šelinga, Kotász - Drastich, Sazima, Hajzler.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Koláčkov. The following players took the field: Cancelli - Gooris, Housseau, Gasidło, Petre - Gandolfi, Kremlička, Chaloupek, Rozum - Koláček, Okon.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Koláčkov. B. Pavliska got left behind when Koláčkov's J. Koláček made a sudden run forward after 11 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 0 - 1! With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 16 minutes played, M. Drastich of Střítež made the score 1 - 1. After a fine move down the middle M. Drastich nearly gave the home side a goal after 23 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. M. Drastich's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. After 27 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Koláčkov found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. Slack defending gave Střítež a chance to take the lead with 28 minutes played, but E. Hajzler's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. After 31 minutes, Střítež sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached M. Drastich, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 1. Střítež's M. Drastich had an excellent opportunity after 32 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! It was 2 - 1 at the break. Střítež had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Koláčkov had solid organisation. M. Drastich left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Popelka was the replacement. P. Vachoušek should probably have put his team up another goal after 57 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Cancelli kept the visitors in the game. Střítež's E. Šelinga increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 67 minutes. M. Cancelli was caught napping as E. Šelinga lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. 75 minutes into the game Koláčkov managed a counterattack, but I. Petre took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. The home side's M. Popelka came close to extending the lead 78 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but M. Cancelli managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Coming from the right, M. Popelka almost managed to score another goal for Střítež, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Koláčkov's Z. Kremlička was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 82 minutes. E. Hajzler wanted to play on, but the Střítež coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 85 minutes into the game by M. Láník. Possession in this half belonged to Střítež, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

Střítež's top performer was clearly J. Sazima. However, M. Láník made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Koláčkov player was without a doubt S. Okon. J. Gooris was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
