Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 198 at
Argwaan Arena today.
Francisco Odemira was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Fredrik Oskarsson and
Vincenzo Schaer.
Argwaan started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Kubat - Uhlenbeek, Tack, Vierhouten - van Aemstel, Weigel, Reitsema, Zausnig, Israëls - Arroyo, van der Waart.
AMSTERDAM! had chosen a strategic 5-5-0 formation.
Lineup: Arežina - Gobern, Indakoa, Bayer, Vahiy, Herrling-Schreiber - Graham, Taskinen, Kostyukov, Alders, Adamsen -.
Argwaan used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of AMSTERDAM!.
M. Tack of Argwaan received a yellow card after 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
After 3 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as AMSTERDAM! found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
After 6 minutes, the defensive line of AMSTERDAM! created a counterattack through the middle that gave
T. Alders a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
24 minutes into the game, AMSTERDAM! seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
Argwaan created a good opportunity to score 32 minutes into the match when
N. Zausnig's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
37 minutes into the game, Argwaan had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
T. Alders delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 39 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on AMSTERDAM!'s side this time and the ball went wide.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Argwaan, with 57 percent of the ball.
A review of the gameplan helped Argwaan get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of AMSTERDAM! was able to get his message across, and raised AMSTERDAM!'s organisation to
solid.
E. Bayer behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 74 minutes as he gave the ball away to
C. van der Waart. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
85 minutes into the game, Argwaan seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.

A. Kostyukov received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Argwaan claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
C. van der Waart performed admirably for Argwaan.
A. Kubat on the other hand, had a terrible day.
AMSTERDAM!'s top performer was clearly
