Bstards 2 - 1 Eskelinen
(393052710)

11-07-2012 19.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 45001 that came out to
Anfield södra.
Alfredo Cabrini was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniele Bussmann and
Jojô Jericoacoara.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Bstards.
The following players had been chosen: Rojas - Burggraaf, Cicarello, Holčiak - Coassin, Răducan, Sadıkoğlu, de Goede, Charmanis - Bain, Kokki.
Eskelinen decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Zubiaga - Kaldrup, Polsterer, Iordache - Haraldsson, Mor, Tryggvesson, Sturbusch, Trybuła - Ionescu, Balerdi.
M. Trybuła came close to putting the visiting team one up 1 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
J. Rojas managed to tip the ball to a corner.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 13 minutes allowed
A. Tryggvesson to score for Eskelinen. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.
With 14 minutes gone, Bstards had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
J. Kokki did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
With 27 minutes played,
V. Iordache nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
Bstards's
S. Cicarello got himself booked for a foul.
32 minutes in, Bstards's
R. de Goede received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Unfortunately for Eskelinen,
M. Sturbusch was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
A. Falkstål replaced him.
K. Kaldrup was handed the Eskelinen captain's armband.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
R. Haraldsson was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 52 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
No matter how hard he tried,
R. de Goede just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 53 minutes.
The Bstards free kick 63 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
J. Kokki, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 1!
M. Trybuła didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.
After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed.
The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 93 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
J. Kokki, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
With that Bstards had won the game in extra time.
Most important Bstards player was
B. Bain.
On the other hand,
J. Rojas's play was disheartening.
Eskelinen's top performer was clearly
H. Balerdi.
K. Kaldrup was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
