The players of Os Nenos now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The crowd roared its approval when T. Maher somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Froesche's L. Davis 4 minutes into the game. Coming in on the left, J. McGoldrick did everything right to get a goal for Froesche after 18 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. J. Kusak unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. McKenna from Os Nenos a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 20 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Froesche kept trying to force their way through on the right side and S. ó Donnabháin got his chance after 29 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Os Nenos, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Os Nenos increased the lead as P. Sirén struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Froesche's S. ó Donnabháin was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 64 minutes. 70 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Revulgo broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Os Nenos. C. Sedlmayr was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. P. Soto Aguilar could've grabbed a goal for Froesche 83 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Os Nenos were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. P. Sirén increased the lead for Os Nenos to 5 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for P. Sirén. Os Nenos had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

The most dominating Os Nenos player was without a doubt M. Revulgo. H. Welvaert was a disappointment, however. Most important Froesche player was A. Haj-Omar. On the other hand, L. Mayo's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 0.
