(393061130)

12-07-2012 02.15
45680 spectators had found their way to
Santa Cruz, despite the heavy rain.
Filipe Seixas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Pascasio Isabella and
Uvis Pencis.
Majestic decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Pérez - Muñoz, Abraham, Iriarte, Higaonna, Orán - Irigaray, Louter, Ramalho - 佐々木 (Sasaki), Larraín.
Casas tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
Lineup: Roa - Hernando, Paúcar - Brâncuşi, De Camillis, De Masi, Frizzera, Grønbech - Kotarov, Manco, Vajcík.
For their match strategy, Majestic had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
It was an obvious ambition of Casas to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
C. Orán did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch.
With 31 minutes played, Casas's
A. Hernando missed an opportunity to put his team one up from the penalty spot, later claiming that "the floodlights blinded him".
Players in Casas heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 33 minutes when
M. De Camillis came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
With 40 minutes played,
V. Kotarov of Casas fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 41 minutes into the match left Casas's
V. Kotarov completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
B. Grønbech made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 42 minutes into the match.
M. Vajcík bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for Casas. 0 - 2.
Majestic's
C. Orán got himself booked for a foul.
0 - 2 was the halftime score.
Casas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.
With 53 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
A. Hernando of Casas to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3.
M. De Camillis wanted to play on, but the Casas coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 53 minutes into the game by
L. Moscardo.
S. Manco of Casas seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 4 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
A. Hernando.
The players of Casas now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
Majestic's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision!
M. Muñoz's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper.
A counterattack by Majestic after 85 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
S. Iriarte, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Casas, with 75 percent of the ball.
Majestic's best player was
S. Iriarte.
G. Louter turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Casas player was without a doubt
S. Manco.
J. Roa was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 4.
