It was 4 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Quintão, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

Quintão managed to extend their lead to 5 - 2 when L. Mato Grosso cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Futebol had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Futebol were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 68 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to N. Bastiaansen should probably have put his team up another goal after 86 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Alcântara kept the visitors in the game. Quintão claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

R. Khvichia performed admirably for Quintão. However, A. Piccini made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Futebol player was without a doubt Z. de França. C. Fieber was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 5.
