Schötz 0 - 3 Ozzy
(393064112)

11-07-2012 10.50
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2216 that came out to
FC Schötz 2 Arena.
Sanel Ulisse was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mariano Arangua and
Remco van Adrichem.
Schötz had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation.
Starters: Selingeer - Trenn, Fügenschuh, Eichhorn, Linter, Schuhbauer - Calì, Delaunay, Lot - Prentice, Tullini.
Ozzy tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
They fielded: Nordbäck - Nisserberg, Pałac - Käfferbitz-Amslinger, Zębala, Moorcroft, Gaskó, Varano - Strauss, Ashvetia, Szukiewicz.
The visiting
K. Strauss was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 9 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
18 minutes into the game, Schötz had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
solid.
Schötz's opponents know to be wary of
P. Lot's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 35 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive!
Ozzy's
H. Nisserberg got himself booked for a foul.
39 minutes into the game, Schötz seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
L. Moorcroft was, after 42 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
F. Selingeer made the save.
It was 0 - 1 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Ozzy, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
The Schötz players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
R. Varano was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 47 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
58 minutes in, Schötz appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
B. Ashvetia received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 66 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Ozzy fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
71 minutes into the game, Schötz seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
After 73 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
K. Strauss who increased Ozzy's lead to 0 - 3.
Confident in their lead, Ozzy's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Ozzy had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
Schötz's top performer was clearly
E. Eichhorn.
Y. Delaunay on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important Ozzy player was
K. Strauss.
L. Moorcroft was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 3.
