previous 6/10 next 8/10  Flow 1 - 2 Cuspedriños (393084835)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2545 had shown up at $olar Field for the match. Martin Pedersen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Väino Ütsmüts and Wu Man Lai. Flow tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Oks - Dudler, Võsoberg, Hasenjäger - Dahldahl, Maksimovskiy, Horge, Paju, Rae - Vee, Rusinov.

Cuspedriños started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players took the field: Pochettino - Langkafel, Tarsi, Berthod, Zambón - Kuljača, Passig, Bécares, Viyuelas, Nervio - Açougueiro.

The guests almost went up by a goal after 6 minutes when D. Kuljača came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Cuspedriños will have to do without M. Nervio for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 9 minute mark. He was substituted by D. Berto. 21 minutes into the game, Cuspedriños had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 30 minutes into the match, and H. Açougueiro wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. H. Vee showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 36 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. 37 minutes in, Cuspedriños appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only poor. Cuspedriños had to make a substitution after 41 minutes. Y. Tarsi limped off the field and was replaced by F. Zandrino. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Cuspedriños claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Cuspedriños was able to get his message across, and raised Cuspedriños's organisation to passable. Cuspedriños's goal to make the score 1 - 2 came via a questionable penalty, but H. Açougueiro struck it home without a second thought. 61 minutes into the game, Cuspedriños seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. I. Zambón neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to S. Passig who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. Cuspedriños had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Flow player was without a doubt H. Vee. On the other hand, R. Võsoberg's play was disheartening. Cuspedriños's best player was S. Passig. D. Berto was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
