Paço maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Filippo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Catolica was able to get his message across, and raised Catolica's organisation to passable. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Catolica coach decided it was time for a substitution. V. Stan reluctantly made way for J. Fonseca on the pitch. 47 minutes in, Catolica appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 56 minutes into the match left Catolica's J. Fonseca completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. Filippo's C.
