Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Dynamo Arena saw a crowd turnout of 1425.
Andreas Borgland was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alexander Funk and
Gilbert Deyne.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Dynamo.
They fielded: Vetola - Obořil, Pelko, Trzebieciak - Karkoška, Bednařík, Kleinpenning, Kroeze, Lidmila - Scherling, Zýka.
wolf had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation.
The following players took the field: Stresow - Cobo, Paprot, Czerny, Borozan, Barros Martins - Martínez-Pais, Jarabran, Ljubinković, Ledda - Kromann.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of wolf.
10 minutes into the game wolf managed a counterattack, but
F. Cobo took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper.
With the clock showing 13 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of wolf resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
E. Paprot in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
Dynamo took the lead 19 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by
Č. Obořil that made the score 1 - 0.
With 21 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
W. Trzebieciak needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
With 40 minutes played, the wolf coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
E. Yngvesson came on,
R. Martínez-Pais had to leave the fray.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Dynamo, who controlled the ball 83 percent of the time.
Dynamo's
Č. Obořil struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 2 - 0 after 47 minutes.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Dynamo to 3 - 0 as
P. Bednařík finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Dynamo managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when
D. Pelko cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
The coach of Dynamo was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes,
J. Molina came on for
Z. Karkoška.
Dynamo had most of the ball, with 81 percent of possession.
Dynamo's best player was
P. Bednařík.
On the other hand,
M. Vetola's play was disheartening.
T. Borozan performed admirably for wolf.
W. Stresow turned in a dismal performance, however.
