2179 spectators had found their way to Hell's Park, despite the heavy rain. Kai Olé Leege was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vincent Mottin and Enrico Pinto. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for SAV. The following players took the field: Nikula - Modica, Torrisi - Tamburini, Senserini, Verhegge, Acosta, Zaaleni - Pohjois-Koivisto, Ledru, van 't Hul.

SAV's Z. Zaaleni seemed to stun everyone on the field with an accurate shot that seemed to come from nowhere. Somehow, the keeper managed to keep his cool and made a fantastic save. 5 minutes into the game, J. Toorenaar almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. A. van 't Hul did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. After 20 minutes, ColonSoft put themselves up 0 - 1, as D. Seltiel finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. With 35 minutes played, J. Raggio nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. P. Senserini didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. With 37 minutes played, SAV's F. Tamburini found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. ColonSoft earned themselves a free kick after a counterattack wasn't dealt with adequately by their opponents. E. Sclava powered the shot in for 0 - 2. Halftime score was 0 - 2. SAV had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

With 82 minutes played, G. Acosta of SAV fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. ColonSoft's R. Andrenacci had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 85 minutes having been played. V. Olesk was the replacement. The home crowd were delighted when P. Modica scored with a header after an attack from the right, making the score 1 - 2. But did he use his hand? That'll be one for the pundits to talk about after the game, that's for sure! ColonSoft's S. Chavarría was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 88 minutes. SAV enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

SAV's top performer was clearly Z. Zaaleni. S. Nikula was a disappointment, however. The most dominating ColonSoft player was without a doubt E. Sclava. G. Drago on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 2.
