Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 566 to Garraf Arena. Lucicã Dan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Darius Cãlugaru and Christian Herland. Garraf had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Ramírez - Ciaschini, Guerreiro, Bellamy, De Carlo - Granakis, Bosler, Knutson, Costa Pacheco - Leijamaa, Răduţă.

Molins decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Starters: Trujillo - Vonhoegen, Türk, Alasippola - Irmak, Tadić, Ojeda, Giełażyn - Fuller, Danino, Hostettler.

Garraf demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. After 4 minutes of play, J. Knutson gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Molins's T. Hostettler was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 18 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Garraf scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for D. Guerreiro after 19 minutes. Confident in their lead, Garraf's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 27 minutes, Molins raised their score by one when W. Giełażyn's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by T. Hostettler. 2 - 1. After 37 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and N. Granakis gave the Garraf supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1. 40 minutes into the game, J. Leijamaa had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came J. Palomino. The home side's D. Guerreiro came close to extending the lead 41 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but J. Trujillo managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Garraf had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The Garraf players could smell victory in the air. S. Bellamy wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for P. Udeh after 46 minutes. P. Eltzaburu was called on to replace Molins's J. Alasippola after 50 minutes following a nasty collision. With 53 minutes played, Garraf put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to P. Bosler, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Molins's W. Giełażyn was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. D. Tasselli was given a chance to change things around. Cheers filled the stadium as A. Răduţă broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to Garraf. Molins's C. Vonhoegen was shown a yellow card after 73 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Unfortunately for Garraf, N. Granakis was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. T. Goutte replaced him. Garraf's J. Costa Pacheco showed off his trademark ability to do the unexpected with a tricky pass after 80 minutes. Unfortunately, T. Goutte was startled by the play and wasn't able to control the finish. The referee showed Garraf's A. Răduţă the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The player down was D. Tasselli. The Molins bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. Some things can only be learned through experience, and P. Eltzaburu should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Garraf a goal with 85 minutes of the match played. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Garraf, with 62 percent of the ball.
