(393130370)

12-07-2012 02.00
Clouds darkened the skies at
O.R Sports Center as 2357 spectators turned up for the match.
Patrik Pastorek was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Paul Mavrodin and
Peter Snel.
R.M had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Rencoret - Cancino, Ximénez, Topete - Pecci, González, Luci, Noyola, Jerszczak - Freijomil, Jiménez.
UeValencia tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
They fielded: Jacquemain - Rybiałek, Abdollahi, Buciak, Alonso - Fasching, Echebarrieta, Søvik, Spriet, Roße - Dağdeviren.
It was an obvious ambition of R.M to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
R.M's
J. Cancino was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 3 minutes.
It was obvious that R.M had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing -
J. Freijomil's free kick had found the back of the net and put R.M ahead 1 - 0!
22 minutes into the game, R.M seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
weak.
Cheers filled the stadium as
C. González broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to R.M.
With 33 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, UeValencia showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 2 - 1 when
M. Søvik got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal.
43 minutes into the game,
M. Alonso had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
J. Štefan.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by UeValencia, with 58 percent of the ball.
A review of the gameplan helped R.M get back to a
passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
J. Štefan got himself booked. The manager of UeValencia was not happy.
Coming through the middle
M. Søvik almost scored the equaliser for UeValencia after 70 minutes, but
R. Rencoret made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post.
After 81 minutes,
C. González put R.M ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
85 minutes into the game, R.M seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
J. Freijomil squirmed through their central defence after 86 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1.
After 89 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as R.M found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
After 89 minutes,
X. Echebarrieta sent the corner kick right to
S. Spriet who headed it sharply past the keeper. 4 - 2!
UeValencia were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 89 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to
F. Roße, who smashed it home to make the score 4 - 3.
With 89 minutes played,
G. Pecci could have brought this one home for R.M as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Possession in this half belonged to UeValencia, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
R.M's top performer was clearly
J. Freijomil.
C. González was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating UeValencia player was without a doubt
M. Dağdeviren.
K. Abdollahi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 3.
