previous 8/10 next 10/10  Luff 5 - 0 PetrusVeria (393145076)

Clear skies welcomed the 2414 spectators who had made their way to Luff Arena. Tatu Laso was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Helmut Pöttinger and Adalbod Petzdorff. Luff decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Teliomidis - Péchon, Ehn, Inglin - Moriceau, Konstantinov, Ruotsalainen, Jaouen, Kęsik - van Olphen, Holtgreve.

PetrusVeria tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Tolu - Garín, Petek, Tarapata - Lőw, 明翊 (Mingyi) , Ferrer, Sangthoong, Bottesch - Ehring, Test.

The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 18 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from R. van Olphen, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. After 23 minutes, J. Jaouen put Luff ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. van Olphen squirmed through their central defence after 30 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Luff's M. Péchon left the field after 31 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was J. Danelski. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Luff claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.

Cheers filled the stadium as A. Konstantinov broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Luff. By now, the players in Luff felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. A. Sangthoong of PetrusVeria received a yellow card after 60 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. S. Ruotsalainen increased the lead for Luff to 5 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! With 74 minutes gone, Luff had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, A. Konstantinov did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Luff's M. Holtgreve saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 78 minutes. PetrusVeria's J. Tarapata had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 79 minutes having been played. R. Ruzgus was the replacement. Possession in this half belonged to Luff, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

Luff's best player was J. Jaouen. J. Danelski was a disappointment, however. PetrusVeria's top performer was clearly E. Ehring. On the other hand, 梁. 明翊 (Mingyi) 's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 0.
