Given a free kick close to the byline, Lambermont tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let H. Slaby slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 0, 21 minutes into the game. Lambermont put themselves up 3 - 0 when D. Rapaccioli broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Lambermont lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. D. Rapaccioli of Lambermont seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 4 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by J. Dirlmeier. At that, D. Rapaccioli was noted down for a hat trick! After 27 minutes, K. Gilleman put Lambermont ahead 5 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. After 32 minutes Steaua's P. Sámi had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. O. Sobottka came in to replace him. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lambermont, with 86 percent of the ball.

J. Dirlmeier unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Lambermont's D. Allaer increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 57 minutes. After 60 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and S. Hernández Mérida gave the Lambermont supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 7 - 0. Steaua's C. Călin was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 80 minutes. The home side's D. Rapaccioli came close to extending the lead 81 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but E. Häggell managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Lambermont's J. Dirlmeier got himself booked for a foul. Lambermont's I. Rütti left the field after 85 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was V. Janssens. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Lambermont to 8 - 0 as H. Slaby finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Lambermont had most of the ball, with 90 percent of possession.

Lambermont's best player was D. De Ceulaer. M. Verhofstadt turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Steaua player was J. MacAchallies. C. Călin was a disappointment, however. The match ends 8 - 0.
