Possession in this half belonged to Dortmund, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

After 72 minutes vanackers's A. Leroi contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Some beautiful play by Dortmund set up J. Bruhn in a good shooting position after 78 minutes, but B. Muyldermans made a great save on the low hard shot. With 82 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Dortmund resulted in a counterattack that set S. Davila free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Dortmund's top performer was clearly E. Bozon. N. Damsbo turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important vanackers player was J. Guillemin. On the other hand, B. Muyldermans's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 0.
