previous 8/10 next 10/10  Schmudlo 7 - 0 Banque (393155572)

The crowd of 1343 turning up at Schmudlo FF Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Edgars Golts was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gerd Trossel and René Stier. Schmudlo started off with a 3-3-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Mansour - Ericsson, Ezo, Stjernhult - Kiełdanowicz, Gil, Brusselers - Borgen, Antonsson, Oskarsson.

Banque tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Zalewski - Hörmar, Myrhall, Börjesson - Haye, Javet, Bećirević, Stjärnfeldt, Schlotterbeck - Martín, Jespersson.

S. Bećirević was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. Schmudlo fans held their breath as N. Borgen scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! F. Kiełdanowicz didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. With 22 minutes played, N. Borgen of Schmudlo fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. H. Stjernhult could have put Schmudlo up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 27 minutes. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. N. Borgen squirmed through their central defence after 33 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. 34 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as H. Stjernhult broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Schmudlo. After this, you could see that the players of Schmudlo were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 41 minutes, S. Brusselers put Schmudlo ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 42 minutes into the game, Schmudlo had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Schmudlo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Schmudlo had solid organisation. The coach of Schmudlo was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, T. Tjädermo came on for P. Antonsson. Cheers filled the stadium as K. Ezo broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to Schmudlo. 73 minutes into the game, Schmudlo seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 86 minutes, Schmudlo tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. The Schmudlo free kick 87 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of N. Borgen, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 6 - 0! That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for N. Borgen. After 88 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Schmudlo found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. Schmudlo's S. Oskarsson swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Schmudlo's N. Borgen increasing the lead to 7 - 0. Schmudlo had to make a substitution after 89 minutes. K. Ezo limped off the field and was replaced by A. Rosenquist. Banque's F. Javet got himself booked for a foul. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Schmudlo, with 72 percent of the ball.

S. Oskarsson performed admirably for Schmudlo. H. Mansour was a disappointment, however. Most important Banque player was D. Martín. S. Bećirević turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
