Bobel delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 37 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 37 minutes into the match, the speedy J. Štěpánek easily outpaced É. Cossu, chipped the keeper and made the score 0 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Luuser had most of the ball, with 77 percent of possession.

After 54 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Luuser was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. Kaiklem increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave S.
