Ronvista 1 - 3 Turbos (393209528)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Ronvista FC Arena saw a crowd turnout of 49026. Giuseppe Gallucci was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eerikki Sidorov and Roar Bomholdt. Ronvista decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Lineup: Agulló Rueda - Mandl, Negrinho, Strandner, Vonhoegen - Soupas, Huismans, Grbić, Kucinas - Peeck, Widerland.

Turbos had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Bartelsdorf - Fedder, Ðinđić, Asp - Ziegelhütter, Körnig, Hirschbold, Tjädering - Kuehny, Hul, Penkler.

Turbos had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 3 minutes in when S. Fedder came up alone against F. Agulló Rueda who managed a block. The guests almost went up by a goal after 4 minutes when B. Ðinđić came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. The counterattacks of Ronvista were deadly and 5 minutes into the game, T. Vonhoegen received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 1 - 0. Ronvista had to make a substitution after 19 minutes. D. Huismans limped off the field and was replaced by F. Resnati. 21 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as P. Penkler struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Turbos, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

Turbos's P. Penkler managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 63 minutes. 1 - 2. After 71 minutes, Turbos raised their score by one when F. Ziegelhütter's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by P. Penkler. 1 - 3. By then P. Penkler had scored three goals - a hat trick! As the match clock hit 72 minutes, Turbos regrouped to try and keep their initiative in the game. F. Hul high-fived M. Tjädering as they swapped positions on the team. S. Peeck was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by B. Mandl, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Turbos's B. Ðinđić refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 87 minutes. Turbos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

S. Peeck performed admirably for Ronvista. However, F. Resnati made a disastrous appearance. Turbos's top performer was clearly P. Penkler. S. Fedder turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
