Clear skies welcomed the 1221 spectators who had made their way to Hardturm. Fredrik Knutsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Todor Rašić and Alphonse Boireau. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for GC Züri. GC Züri mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. A questionable penalty 10 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 1 - 0. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as R. Sarmiento knocked the ball home. GC Züri were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Brochus tied it all up, 33 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by P. Goldstein, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. After 40 minutes Brochus's M. Dratwa contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. At 43 minutes played, G. Infantas came in from the right with the intention of giving GC Züri the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, M. Lukowitsch had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came R. van Laren. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by GC Züri, with 52 percent of the ball.

The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing - R. Sarmiento's free kick had found the back of the net and put GC Züri ahead 2 - 1! The head of C. Grönstrand connected with a corner kick after 51 minutes, and the ball ended up with T. Siebert of GC Züri who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 3 - 1. GC Züri had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. 69 minutes in, Brochus's J. Schreeber received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 74 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving M. Marcoz completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. Brochus's S. Antonijević was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in this half belonged to GC Züri, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

S. Villa performed admirably for GC Züri. C. Grönstrand turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Brochus player was C. Tempone. On the other hand, M. Scherry's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
