68314 spectators arrived at
Obiter, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Roger Hargreaves was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Júlio Rocha and
Andreas Beckström.
Loquitur tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Hiraki - Suzuki, 伊藤 (Ito), 中島 (Nakajima), Mizumaki - 小野 (Ono), Yanagawa, 大野 (Ono), Kimio - 阿部 (Abe ), Tamazaki.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Superclusters.
They fielded: Munteanu - Lytle, Żuławski, Edwald - Chamaillard, Ooka, 武田 (Takeda), 西村 (Nishimura), Talvi - Piechnik, Beunderman.
8 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Loquitur was
敬. 阿部 (Abe ).
After 21 minutes Superclusters's
B. Chamaillard contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
After 22 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after
淳. 西村 (Nishimura) made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1.
24 minutes in, Loquitur's
T. Yanagawa received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
It was 1 - 1 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Superclusters, with 56 percent of the ball.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Loquitur coach decided it was time for a substitution.
T. Yanagawa reluctantly made way for
M. Tsukawaki on the pitch.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
K. Tamazaki, but the Loquitur player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1!
The coach of Loquitur was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes,
K. Takasu came on for
S. Mizumaki.
In an effort to secure the lead, Loquitur changed their tactic after 70 minutes.
After 70 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
M. Tsukawaki might have resulted in another goal for Loquitur. However,
M. Munteanu made a spectacular save.
The Loquitur coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 71 minutes into the game.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Loquitur coach let
E. Takishida replace
K. Tamazaki after 75 minutes.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
敬. 阿部 (Abe ) got himself booked. The manager of Loquitur was not happy.
After 85 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 2 - 2 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by
E. Beunderman.
Under heavy pressure after 87 minutes, the inexperienced Superclusters struggled to maintain their level of play.
Superclusters enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.
As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Superclusters had
excellent organisation.
Superclusters's
章. 武田 (Takeda) could have put the guests one up after 93 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
F. Hiraki was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
Loquitur's
貢. 大野 (Ono) was shown a yellow card after 95 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
106 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but
E. Beunderman, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
B. Chamaillard from Superclusters a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 112 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After extra time, the game was still tied and a penalty shoot-out ensued.
Loquitur's
E. Takishida, obviously having last minute doubts, produced a loose ball to the right post. Unfortunately
M. Munteanu made a premature move to the left and didn't make it back. New score: 3 - 2.
Superclusters's
D. Lytle penalty shot was very well placed but
F. Hiraki went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 3 - 2.
Oh, the sweet feet of technical
K. Takasu... His left one gave Loquitur a lovely goal. 4 - 2.
Superclusters's
章. 武田 (Takeda) looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper.
Loquitur's
晴. 伊藤 (Ito) made no mistake.
M. Munteanu didn't have a chance. 5 - 2.
Oooh - how unlucky! Superclusters's
T. Piechnik attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of
F. Hiraki. The score stays 5 - 2.
Loquitur's
N. Kimio showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 6 - 2.
Superclusters's
淳. 西村 (Nishimura) kept his cool as he faced down
F. Hiraki. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 6 - 3.
Loquitur's
芳. 中島 (Nakajima) was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 7 - 3!
Superclusters's
E. Beunderman coolly put the ball past
F. Hiraki. 7 - 4.
Loquitur's top performer was clearly
E. Takishida.
On the other hand,
晴. 伊藤 (Ito)'s play was disheartening.
Most important Superclusters player was
T. Piechnik.
However,
B. Chamaillard made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 7 - 4.
