It was an obvious ambition of Bomberman to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. The guests took the lead 13 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in M. Məmmədov scoring to make it 0 - 1. 23 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as G. Verbrakel finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After this, you could see that the players of BDU were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. BDU increased the lead to 0 - 3 as G. Dijksman scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. 26 minutes in, BDU's M. Məmmədov received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 28 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for T. Hägersjö who increased BDU's lead to 0 - 4. Bomberman were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. It took several tries, but Bomberman managed to break through on the left after 33 minutes, getting the ball to É. Devaux who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 4. BDU had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

The BDU free kick 51 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of V. Atamanyuk, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 5! After 59 minutes of game time, D. Spuhler had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but C. Pezos was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Bomberman's É. Devaux was shown a yellow card after 64 minutes for slicing down an opponent. BDU's H. Lössner left the field after 66 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was K. Ebels. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 72 minutes, BDU did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, T. Hägersjö was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BDU, with 61 percent of the ball.

Bomberman's best player was R. Hofman. However, S. Zemann made a disastrous appearance. BDU's top performer was clearly T. Hägersjö. On the other hand, M. Məmmədov's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 6.
