FB-SCB tried to focus their attacks down the middle. united's V. Praßl gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 11 minutes with a superb strike from the right. After 20 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as FB-SCB found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. A drive down the left side allowed V. Praßl to get in close and score another goal for united after 22 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. S. Ćosović increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. The players of united now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, V. Praßl would have put united up another goal 25 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. S. Ćosović of united displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered L. Naselli and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 0 - 4. Some fine movement on the left led to a united goal after 37 minutes, making it 0 - 5. C. Salter was noted down as the scorer. 0 - 5 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by united, with 75 percent of the ball.

During the break, FB-SCB's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. The coach of united was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, M. Šaibiņš came on for J. Dankner. At 47 minutes into the game, FB-SCB's Ş. Hondola deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 5. united's H. Brunsgaard got himself booked for a foul. A. Baldinger of FB-SCB was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Content with how the game was proceeding, the united coach let V. Hotakka replace A. Türkyılmaz after 65 minutes. V. Praßl wanted to play on, but the united coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 69 minutes into the game by R. de Oliveira. H. Diekerhof neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to C. Salter who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. After 74 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for V. Hotakka who increased united's lead to 1 - 6. 76 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 7 as W. Hörborn finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. One of many good crosses from H. Diekerhof on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by W. Hörborn, who scored for united. 1 - 8 C. Salter of united took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 80 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 9. Unfortunately for FB-SCB, V. Olshanskiy suffered a concussion after 82 minutes and had to be taken for tests. The coach had his head in his hands after realising he could not send a replacement onto the pitch, and the team had to continue a man short. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, M. Hasene took over the role of being the FB-SCB captain. 83 minutes in, FB-SCB appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. united had most of the ball, with 75 percent of possession.

The most dominating FB-SCB player was without a doubt A. Baldinger. On the other hand, N. Schertenleib's play was disheartening. Most important united player was C. Allegri. However, M. Minonzio made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 9.
