S.Miedo were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. S.Miedo had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, J. Sénéca scored for S.Miedo putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 9 minutes. rivendell's V. Salmen was shown a yellow card after 11 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. D'Amico from rivendell a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 13 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! S.Miedo were forced into a substitution as M. Kalantar couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing J. Paar to come in off the bench. With 23 minutes played, L. Vorgaard of S.Miedo fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. M. Kjær didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. S. Aybar caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately F. Cuartas was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. The visiting team's F. Crispim was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 40 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by rivendell, with 52 percent of the ball.

55 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a rivendell substitution. S. Wilstra came on for G. D'Amico. After 65 minutes, the rivendell coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving M. Kjær off the field. M. Fregni took his place. S. Wilstra was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. 73 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but C. Ferrer, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. After 81 minutes, rivendell put themselves up 1 - 2, as F. Cuartas finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. M. Fregni received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 83 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The rivendell fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Content with how the game was proceeding, the rivendell coach let S. Jennings replace F. Cuartas after 84 minutes. By now, the players in rivendell felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The referee showed rivendell's A. Bērziņš the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. rivendell claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

S.Miedo's best player was A. Lienen. J. Paar was a disappointment, however. Most important rivendell player was M. Fregni. On the other hand, S. Jennings's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 3.
