previous 8/10 next 10/10  Inadaptat 0 - 4 Hotros (393225402)

Clouds darkened the skies at Estadi Ovidi Montllor as 32900 spectators turned up for the match. Thomas Bundgaard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dejan Čurčić and Pierino Majolino. Inadaptat tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Behal - Beneventano, Čebonas, Abbà - Aldars, Prodehl, Ljubičić, Chircu, Gelis - Kumar, Bernal.

Hotros had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Vidal - García, Brau, Amigó - Bono, Gelcem, Olivé, Badoux - Tibau, Lowe, Carella.

The visiting R. Olivé was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 23 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from P. Amigó after 33 minutes, and prevented Hotros from going up another goal. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Hotros had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

J. Gelcem wanted to play on, but the Hotros coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by H. Haverbusch. The Hotros captaincy was handed to V. García. After 62 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave P. Amigó a chance to increase the lead for Hotros, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Inadaptat's E. Aldars was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 67 minutes. N. Refojos was given a chance to change things around. The home crowd was not impressed when R. Olivé came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 75 minutes. Hotros were now up 0 - 3. Some fine movement on the left led to a Hotros goal after 80 minutes, making it 0 - 4. H. Haverbusch was noted down as the scorer. By now, the players in Hotros felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as N. Refojos tried lifting the ball over keeper V. Vidal. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Hotros claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

V. Čebonas performed admirably for Inadaptat. C. Behal was a disappointment, however. Hotros's top performer was clearly F. Carella. However, C. Brau made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 4.
