Punci 1 - 3 hobos (393227988)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 51046 that came out to Alus ķēķis. António Sabino was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antonio Velásquez and Gianluigi Omoretto. People from all over Rīga had joined up for the derby. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Punci. Lineup: Pätzel - Sevengül, De la Zarza, Rein - Lyubichev, Baumgartner, Matyolo, Forsblad, Aliyudin - Wandtke, Ķēvpups.

hobos decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Cēburs - Cheromei, Vills, Bassini - Trippetta, Etzdorf, Skrīveris, Dadson, Lot - Svētnieks, Ketiya.

Punci were very close to putting themselves one up after 4 minutes as A. Wandtke got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. hobos took the lead after 9 minutes making the score 0 - 1. M. Vills placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Punci, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

A well placed corner kick from I. Ketiya was followed by M. Vills's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for hobos, the score now 0 - 2. E. De la Zarza challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 57 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. Punci's E. De la Zarza found himself alone on the left side 64 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper V. Cēburs and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Punci, but T. Forsblad's finish was way too lame. hobos made it 0 - 3 as M. Vills got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to K. Cheromei who whipped a low drive in off the far post. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when E. Ķēvpups scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 3. Punci had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

N. Matyolo performed admirably for Punci. E. Ķēvpups was a disappointment, however. hobos's top performer was clearly I. Ketiya. On the other hand, V. Cēburs's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 3.
