Happy 1 - 3 BAIK
(393236163)

18-07-2012 19.00
30300 spectators arrived at
Sydpoolen Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Nils-Åke Berntsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jellen Verbruggen and
Tudor Buzoianu.
Happy started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Serrats - Jörgensson, Månmar, Hasselquist, Długosz - Gheban, Milićević, Chiossi, Cunego - Cina, Suszyński.
BAIK had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Nicastro - Arnoldi, Richardsson, Sahlbratt - Kolík, Stjernlind, Västilä, Decembrino, Ivarsson - Risskär, Bazan.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of BAIK's
J. Stjernlind after 5 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
19 minutes into the game,
S. Jörgensson had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
L. Moldahl.
T. Ivarsson of BAIK seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
U. Decembrino.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of BAIK lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
With 31 minutes played, BAIK's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
F. Bazan he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 3.
0 - 3 was the halftime score.
BAIK enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
While defending the BAIK lead,
F. Bazan got a new role. 46 minutes in the game, his coach ordered him to change positions with
T. Ivarsson.
51 minutes into the match,
J. Stjernlind came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
With 57 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
L. Moldahl needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
The BAIK players could smell victory in the air.
R. Richardsson wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
A. Everborn after 60 minutes.
The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as
S. Cunego tried lifting the ball over keeper
E. Nicastro. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar.
With 65 minutes played, the Happy coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
E. Paiva came on,
P. Chiossi had to leave the fray.
Happy needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes
M. Suszyński made way for
H. Huarcaya.
Happy's
R. Cina cut towards the middle after 75 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 1 - 3.
BAIK had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.
The most dominating Happy player was without a doubt
R. Cina.
G. Długosz was a disappointment, however.
L. Risskär performed admirably for BAIK.
On the other hand,
T. Ivarsson's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 3.
