Futibol 1 - 3 Paranitos (393240627)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 55000 that came out to wcb Futibol Clube Arena. Orest Peryt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marko Ohnewas and Adrian Tscharner. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Futibol. The following players took the field: Loffredo - Kopinich, Göransson, Sörensson - Galarie, Moura Filho, Balbis, Groni, Svensson - Vernet, Nørholt.

Paranitos decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Irinakis - Tênio, Sifontes, Božac - Noponen, Garofalis, Lyapidevskiy, Bittencourt, Dias - Papin, Vilimaitis.

Futibol used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Paranitos saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Some great play up the middle by Futibol led to a chance for P. Nørholt to score after 11 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Paranitos's J. Sifontes managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 20 minutes. 0 - 1. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Futibol's E. Vernet came in from the right after 30 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. Slack defending gave Futibol a chance to take the lead with 35 minutes played, but P. Nørholt's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Futibol had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The terraces were silenced after 38 minutes when Paranitos's P. Bittencourt put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Futibol, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

With 69 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed P. Bittencourt of Paranitos to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3. Futibol's A. Moura Filho found himself alone on the left side 73 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Futibol's E. Vernet got himself booked for a foul. It was almost a goal for Futibol following A. Balbis's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though. 80 minutes in, Paranitos's P. Bittencourt received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Futibol claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Futibol's best player was A. Moura Filho. A. Balbis was a disappointment, however. Paranitos's top performer was clearly N. Papin. C. Tênio on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 3.
