1799 spectators arrived at
Remington Drive, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Andreas Forsskär was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sofus Tornøe and
Jeanloup Boivin.
PPR started off with a 5-4-1 lineup.
They fielded: Sturmfels - Dyhouse, Givon, Weißenborn, Gaudet, Soler - Forsell, Zavala, Gherman, Salessy - Serafin.
Trotters had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.

PPR's
C. Gherman swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
Trotters bypassed the midfield with their counterattack, leading to a free kick goal by
D. Pheasant for 1 - 1.
After 34 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as PPR found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
With 36 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Trotters resulted in a counterattack that set
M. Dávalos free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
The referee showed Trotters's
S. Lawrenson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1.
PPR claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of PPR was able to get his message across, and raised PPR's organisation to
solid.

S. Price almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
PPR almost scored after a counterattack 56 minutes into the match, but
C. Gherman took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net.
PPR had a good opportunity to take the lead as
E. Gaudet came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
A. Humpage.
M. Ericsson was called on to replace Trotters's
B. Keogh after 74 minutes following a nasty collision.
Trotters's
S. Keeling was shown a yellow card after 81 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
82 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for PPR was
R. Dyhouse.
D. Pheasant of Trotters was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by PPR, with 74 percent of the ball.
PPR's best player was
J. Zavala.
R. Dyhouse turned in a dismal performance, however.
R. Butcher performed admirably for Trotters.
On the other hand,
S. Keeling's play was disheartening.
