Clouds darkened the skies at The King of RED-BLUE's Stadium as 2394 spectators turned up for the match. Bruno Hinzemann was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anders Thystad and Jonas Swärdgren. Steaua started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Desse - Caldas, Leinweber, Poyraz - Cavallini, Azzam, Ali, Barrett, Namozov - García, Levy.

Christiana decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. The following players took the field: Canseco - Tiefel, Hughes, Bitz, Loimer, Rega - Weyher, Jopp, Walko - Brodnig, Kickstein.

Steaua used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Christiana. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 6 minutes into the match left Christiana's H. Kickstein completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. The home crowd was not impressed when D. Walko came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 30 minutes. Christiana were now up 0 - 2. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for B. Brodnig who increased Christiana's lead to 0 - 3. A drive down the left side allowed P. Weyher to get in close and score another goal for Christiana after 35 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Christiana lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. F. Jopp of Christiana took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 36 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Ali got himself booked. The manager of Steaua was not happy. J. Hughes increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6. 0 - 6 was the halftime score. Christiana enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Christiana increased their lead after 50 minutes when B. Brodnig broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 51 minutes, Christiana's H. Kickstein burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 8. The corner kick from C. Rega was powerfully met by the head of L. Tiefel to make the score 0 - 9. R. Namozov did everything he could to get one back for his Steaua, but keeper G. Canseco denied him with a spectacular block. The visitors' C. Rega took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 61 minutes into the match. 0 - 10 for Christiana. Christiana's C. Rega got himself booked for a foul. Steaua's X. Levy was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 67 minutes. 68 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 11 as B. Brodnig finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. That made three goals for B. Brodnig and he was marked down for the hat trick. G. García of Steaua received a yellow card after 71 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Christiana had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

W. Azzam performed admirably for Steaua. C. Desse turned in a dismal performance, however. Christiana's best player was F. Jopp. J. Hughes on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 11.
