Blakely received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 5 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Team_32 were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Team_32 put pressure on the visitors' central defence 9 minutes into the game, but A. Eizenman couldn't find an opening. With 18 minutes played, J. Boisclair of Golden fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 19 minutes played, J. Boisclair nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Team_32 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

Team_32 tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. It was obvious that team Team_32 had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Team_32, but R. Chirobocea's shot went over the bar. After 52 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed P. Sherrill to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. N. Saborit was called on to replace Team_32's A. Stamatelos after 58 minutes following a nasty collision. After 62 minutes, Team_32's I. Lisperguer swiftly ran past E. Marchello and nutmegged the keeper! 1 - 2. Team_32's J. Borgholz had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 83 minutes having been played. I. Calvís was the replacement. With 86 minutes played, Team_32's R. Thabet found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. Possession in this half belonged to Team_32, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

Team_32's best player was J. Ségura. J. Gautier was a disappointment, however. A. Frias performed admirably for Golden. D. Patania turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
