previous 6/10 next 8/10  Ballers 3 - 1 Rage! (393259635)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 3326 had shown up at PWB Stadium for the match. Mykyta Morgunov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Milan Jovanović and Godot Condor. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Ballers. Lineup: Causse - 康生 (Kangsheng) , Lulli, Talarico - Jepus, Katt, Barović, Johannesen, Cleenwerck - Matić, Samoilă.

Rage! decided to use a 5-5-0 set up. The following players had been chosen: Yosafat - Habibi, Amirudin, Petrus, Sangkot, Mandraguna - Munthe, Hariyantoko, Kemal, Romeris, Ibrahim -.

After 3 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Rage! found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. With 14 minutes played, A. Barović of Ballers fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 18 minutes into the game, Rage! seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. With 25 minutes gone, Ballers had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, U. Matić did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. With 34 minutes played B. Talarico almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by B. Talarico after 38 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Ballers takes the lead, 1 - 0! 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Ballers, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Rage! had solid organisation. 52 minutes into the game, Rage! seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. Ballers's B. Talarico struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 2 - 0 after 59 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Ballers scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. Cleenwerck after 69 minutes. Confident in their lead, Ballers's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 72 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by F. Munthe from T. Ibrahim's cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for Rage!, making the score 3 - 1. J. Katt left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 75 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Bite was the replacement. After 78 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by G. Cleenwerck might have resulted in another goal for Ballers. However, R. Yosafat made a spectacular save. The Ballers players could smell victory in the air. D. Samoilă wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for H. Prouvé after 79 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave 高. 康生 (Kangsheng) from Ballers a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Against a lesser team, Ballers could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 82 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. The coach of Ballers was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 85 minutes, K. Facius came on for R. Johannesen. Ballers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 81 percent.

The most dominating Ballers player was without a doubt U. Matić. On the other hand, B. Talarico's play was disheartening. Most important Rage! player was F. Sangkot. F. Munthe on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
