Murcia, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 0 - 4. B. Chenu increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. After this, you could see that the players of Gronio were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. D. Trayter of Fiesta received a yellow card after 26 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. G. Sompolyogi was, after 28 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper R. Mila made the save. 33 minutes in, Gronio's E. Grífols received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Gronio, who controlled the ball 83 percent of the time.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Gronio coach let R. Bouw replace S. Rossi after 50 minutes. Gil Fano received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 66 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like K. Dolik. The coach of Gronio was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, R. Martínez Sáinz came on for D. Coupe. The visitors' A. Gil Fano took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 74 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for Gronio. Gronio enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 85 percent of possession.
