Serafini knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 2 - 4 after 26 minutes. DeBruc increased their lead after 32 minutes when W. Di Rosa broke through on the right, upping the score to 2 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 33 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for D. Cherchi who increased DeBruc's lead to 2 - 6. The players of DeBruc now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. G. Perrig of DeBruc took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 35 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 2 - 7. 2 - 7 was the score after the first half. DeBruc claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

After 46 minutes, atletico switched L. Pinnella with P. Vavřina, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. It wasn't a good day at all for K. Padewski. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. The home crowd cheered when, after 60 minutes, G. Foresti's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. DeBruc's A. Serafini finished emphatically to make the score 2 -8 after 62 minutes, after the enigmatic D. Cherchi pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. With 63 minutes played, A. Ciappa was very close to reducing the score for atletico with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. After 67 minutes, DeBruc sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached D. Petrişor, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 9. With 68 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed A. Serafini of DeBruc to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 2 - 10. This third goal completed a hattrick for A. Serafini. DeBruc had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

P. Airaud performed admirably for atletico. On the other hand, O. Coltro's play was disheartening. The most dominating DeBruc player was without a doubt D. Petrişor. D. Bannò was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 10.
