The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2202 had shown up at
Fc TicK TaK Arena for the match.
Bruno Hernández was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Diego Placente and
Nicolaas van Horne.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for TicK.
The following players took the field: Kempeneers - Tozan, Musto, Villagarcía - Courtel, Seixas, Rabatti, Giusberti, Sergoyne - Arimon, Schweinkohlen.
Madhar had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Lineup: Pereira - Virot, Maag, Casabella - Louro, Tekay, Viceconte, Pęk, Vangelisti - Pouw, Hendriksen.
The wings were the focus of most of TicK's attacks today.
Today, Madhar's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
Players in Madhar heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
After 11 minutes, Madhar put themselves up 0 - 1, as
A. Pęk finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
TicK's
E. Villagarcía put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 22 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock.
Madhar were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
S. Casabella was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Madhar counterattack from the left after 32 minutes. His neat finish made the score 1 - 2.
1 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Madhar had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
After 47 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
J. Pouw who increased Madhar's lead to 1 - 3.
Madhar's
C. Vangelisti was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 52 minutes.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
S. Tekay was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 63 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
With 78 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
J. Pouw of Madhar to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 4.
Possession in this half belonged to Madhar, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.
H. Arimon performed admirably for TicK.
On the other hand,
J. Kempeneers's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Madhar player was without a doubt
J. Pouw.
S. Casabella on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 4.
