Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Velez, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 49 minutes, Velez's A. Isuzquiza burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. With 57 minutes played, Velez put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was A. Isuzquiza. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Velez lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. P. Todarello received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 60 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Velez fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 63 minutes, O. Tülü had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Çotanak with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. After 65 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave K. Astra a chance to increase the lead for Velez, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. It was obvious that team Çotanak had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Çotanak refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, B. Soyak managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 5. The referee showed Velez's E. Galdós the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. D. Akersan did everything he could to get one back for his Çotanak, but keeper A. Munar denied him with a spectacular block. Çotanak enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Çotanak player was without a doubt T. Pişkin. K. Tamay on the other hand, had a terrible day. Velez's top performer was clearly E. Galdós. On the other hand, A. Munar's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 5.
