Hästbacka got himself booked for a foul. Unfortunately for G.C., R. Rabaldiz was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. B. Taşçı replaced him. Dortmund's counterattacks created a good chance for M. Malmman on the right after 73 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. A. Helling behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 78 minutes as he gave the ball away to 董. 力福 (Lifu). Lucky for him though, there was no goal. After 80 minutes, the defensive line of Dortmund created a counterattack through the middle that gave K. Hästbacka a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by G.C., with 73 percent of the ball.

G.C.'s top performer was clearly B. Taşçı. J. Branner on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Dortmund player was A. Chintoan. On the other hand, T. Salla-aho's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 0.
