previous 5/10 next 7/10  Sporting 6 - 1 Villemoyenne (393279792)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Estádio da Loes saw a crowd turnout of 1596. Christopher Lamie was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Danckleff Schallner and Ernesto Sackmann. Sporting started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Kubesch - Buijsman, Essers - Heetebrij, Gerverdinck, Viridén, van Rijnsoever, Krabbendam - Kalapothakis, Vasilev, Škorić.

A 4-3-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Villemoyenne. The following players had been chosen: Chevallier - Hale, Couedel, Minodier, Eymard - Bogosavljević, Risser, Faściszewski - Buffière, Gonshik, Barbieux.

W. Krabbendam gave Sporting the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Sporting had to make a substitution after 11 minutes. A. van Rijnsoever limped off the field and was replaced by J. van Munster. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, A. Viridén took over the role of being the Sporting captain. 30 minutes into the game, Villemoyenne had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Sporting's R. Heetebrij increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 36 minutes. Villemoyenne's J. Chevallier refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 37 minutes. Sporting put themselves up 3 - 0 when B. Buijsman broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. After 39 minutes Villemoyenne's F. Barbieux contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. The home team's fans were upset when, after 41 minutes, the visiting R. Bogosavljević broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 3 - 1 was the score. 42 minutes into the game, D. Vasilev had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came G. Munerati. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Sporting enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Villemoyenne was able to get his message across, and raised Villemoyenne's organisation to solid. The crowd roared its approval when L. Kubesch somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Villemoyenne's R. Bogosavljević 63 minutes into the game. J. Škorić of Sporting received a yellow card after 82 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 83 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as B. Buijsman broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for Sporting. After 84 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by A. Viridén might have resulted in another goal for Sporting. However, J. Chevallier made a spectacular save. After 85 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Villemoyenne found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. 87 minutes into the game, Villemoyenne seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. A well placed corner kick from W. Essers was followed by G. Munerati's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Sporting, the score now 5 - 1. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Sporting lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. With 89 minutes played, Sporting put themselves up 6 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to G. Munerati, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Sporting claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

Most important Sporting player was R. Kalapothakis. J. van Munster was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Villemoyenne player was without a doubt G. Buffière. However, O. Minodier made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 1.
