Dark skies made the crowd of 2164 at langroezian stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ionel Popa was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roberto Hoz and Emil Turi. ziggies started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Alonso - Labunda, Emch, Moniot - Tanguy, Amouret, Guillemin, Leroux - Gwit, Urenda, Deléage.

Boss decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Porreij - de Munck, den Bieman, Meul - van Hulzen, van Marle, van Londen, Woesthoff, van Londen - Regenthal, Dijkens.

0 - 1 was the score with 36 minutes played, after E. Regenthal cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Boss. M. Gwit made a superb strike after 40 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. After 42 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave E. van Marle a chance to increase the lead for Boss, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The visitors' W. Woesthoff took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 43 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Boss. The home crowd was not impressed when E. Regenthal came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 44 minutes. Boss were now up 0 - 4. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Boss enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

J. Dijkens received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 54 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Boss fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. A drive down the left side allowed I. van Hulzen to get in close and score another goal for Boss after 55 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. By now, the players in Boss felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. One of many good crosses from W. van Londen on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by J. Dijkens, who scored for Boss. 0 - 7 The home crowd cheered when, after 61 minutes, W. Woesthoff's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. T. Alonso got a fingertip on M. van Londen's shot from the left 62 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Boss's J. Dijkens had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 72 minutes having been played. T. van der Burg was the replacement. After the ball was lifted in from the left, E. Regenthal was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 73 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Boss claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

The most dominating ziggies player was without a doubt R. Tanguy. On the other hand, J. Leroux's play was disheartening. E. van Marle performed admirably for Boss. E. Meul on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 7.
