Étcheberry, but the latter failed to score. Sovereign took the lead 35 minutes in, as P. Ramirez broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Sovereign increased the lead as J. Bouclet struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. It was 2 - 0 at the break.
