Jimilio made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 25 minutes into the match. Ó. Cartella bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for lugo.c.f. 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of lugo.c.f lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 27 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as P. Obelleiro finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. With the scoreboard showing that 35 minutes had been played, lugo.c.f nearly put themselves up another goal after A. Miķelsons came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to lugo.c.f, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

A penalty was missed by lugo.c.f's A. Miķelsons 52 minutes into the match. Probably overconfident, he blasted a hard shot miles outside of the left post. Jessica's R. van Messel got himself booked for a foul. J. Miñano increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Miķelsons from lugo.c.f a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 75 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Jessica's F. Cleymans had a nice free kick routine after 85 minutes that was very close to paying off, had it not been for a dramatic save by the visitors' keeper. With 89 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed J. Furió of lugo.c.f to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 6. lugo.c.f claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

Most important Jessica player was G. Vandenberghe. On the other hand, R. van Messel's play was disheartening. lugo.c.f's top performer was clearly J. Gómez. I. Hernialde turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
