previous 5/10 next 7/10  hameleon 0 - 4 QUALE (393317463)

1848 spectators had come to NADEJDA Arena this cloudy day. Mick Tesdorff was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Òscar Cerdán and Ludwig Reimar Calmund. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for hameleon. They fielded: Haastrup - Peshev, Chirimini - Eraso, Accorroni, Konstantinov, Heimfeld, Codorean - Benenati, Koev, Cybulak.

QUALE tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Maia - Kyösti, Finzel, Ballesteros - Eriksson, Steigelmann, Stéphan, Bolognesi, Vairinhos - Gogoasă, Bertasi.

0 - 1 was the score with 32 minutes played, after V. Bolognesi cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for QUALE. After 36 minutes, QUALE's L. Finzel burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. By now, the players in QUALE felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. After 42 minutes, hameleon switched C. Cybulak with G. Fola, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. QUALE claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

hameleon needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes P. Accorroni made way for I. Talv. With 46 minutes played, the hameleon coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. C. Kern came on, G. Codorean had to leave the fray. P. Bertasi of QUALE took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 75 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. With 79 minutes played, R. Ballesteros nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 82 minutes in, QUALE's J. Stéphan received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. With 83 minutes played, QUALE's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to K. Steigelmann he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 4. QUALE had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

hameleon's best player was I. Talv. A. Benenati turned in a dismal performance, however. K. Steigelmann performed admirably for QUALE. However, I. Maia made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 4.
