Gérin connected with a corner kick after 36 minutes, and the ball ended up with V. Křížek of Peloncitos who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 0 - 1. Melenas were awarded a penalty with 37 minutes played, and I. Mesas made no mistake as he effortlessly slotted the equaliser home. 1 - 1. Down the middle came V. Křížek, making a fantastic play that nearly had Peloncitos take the lead after 42 minutes, but L. Hellín preserved the tie. Melenas had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. 44 minutes into the game Peloncitos managed a counterattack, but V. Křížek took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Melenas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

47 minutes into the game, Peloncitos wanted to bring some new energy to their game. K. Mölln gave A. Zomer a quick hug as he left the field. Melenas took the lead, 2 - 1, after a penalty 51 minutes into the match. I. Mesas scored from the penalty spot. Peloncitos needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 52 minutes J. Gérin made way for S. zur Bonsen. The home team will be cursing S. Ömür for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 2 - 2 after 52 minutes. Good work by the Peloncitos defensive line after 55 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found S. zur Bonsen alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. After 60 minutes, the Peloncitos coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving V. Křížek off the field. T. Atanasov took his place. 67 minutes into the game, J. Alòs had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came R. Giralt. Melenas were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. 79 minutes in, Peloncitos's R. Kolter received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Melenas, as F. Heutingsheimer left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. J. Sánchez took his place on the field. C. Meidericher was handed the Melenas captain's armband. Peloncitos had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 103 minutes into the match left Peloncitos's T. Atanasov completely free to score. 2 - 3 for the visitors. Game over, Peloncitos win! J. Sánchez performed admirably for Melenas. L. Yunibarbia turned in a dismal performance, however.
